BURN BAN SEASON NO BURNING EXCEPT AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS BELOW 3,000 FEET Effective July first until further notice, residential burning is prohibited in all areas of Shasta County due to extreme fire danger. In addition, today has been designated as a no-burn day for all agricultural burning in the Burney Basin area and at all elevations above 3,000 feet. Burning is only allowed by agricultural operations that are below 3,000 feet and have the proper permit. Burn hours are specified on the permit. The burn ban determination was made by the California Department of Forestry. If you have any questions, call 225-2418. Please notify the Shasta County Air Quality Management District on the day of the agricultural burn the number of acres or tons burned by calling 225-5674 or 800-528-2850.
